Restaurant Logos: How to get the perfect logo design for your restaurant.
There are thousands of restaurant logos on the internet. Many of them are just typographical. Some other with a character, and many others with some kind of icon. But if you are planning to get a logo for your restaurant, you must be aware of the implications each logo style have.
Icon style Restaurant logos.
Icons are great, and if they are properly positioned in the logo, can be memorable. But, if you are planning to get an icon logo for your restaurant you have to keep in mind that shapes (a knife, a cow…) are not easy to plot or to embroider.
Icon restaurant logos checklist:
- Icon must be simple (like 3 lines for doing a burger)
- Icon should be monochromatic (or 2 color maximum)
- Icon has to be unique (many icons are just downloaded from internet and are not unique)

Monogam style Restaurant logos.
Monograms are classics, and beautiful. But if your logo artist is not skilled, you can be in problems. Working with typography is an art. Making a logo based on 1, 2 or 3 letters is a big challenge. IS NOT just to get some capital letters in a cool font.

- Avoid newbies. This is a jobs for a PRO designer
- Choose 1, 2 or 3 letters. (Not like JJDIBW Bistro 🙂
- Use it as part of your logo, always.

Fast-Food style Restaurant logos.
Burger King, TGI Fridays, Pizza Hut, and the list is huge. But all of the fast foods logos has the same spirit. They are “happy” logos. Not formal, not retro, not cool. Just funny, memorable and in red, yellow and orange color.
Fast food logos checklist:
- Be funny. It’s the kind of logo for characters
- Ask your kids for an opinion
- Look for similar logos (be unique)
